Early Music Festival In a small, sentimental and very beautiful town of Stary Sacz, organized the annual Festival of Early Music. Stary Sacz - more than seven hundred years the city through the local monastery of Poor Clares, was known for promoting musical culture, since ancient times. From year one thousand nine hundred and seventy four decided to extend the cultural offer of the said festival. Concerts of the year two thousand four were held in two churches starosądeckich: Saint Elizabeth and the Poor Clares convent nuns. Subsequent years until the present time the place where concerts are held, was extended to a church in the town hall in Barcice and Nowy Sacz. The festival belongs to the group rather unusual. And this is thanks to a very large cross-section of musical genres. During the festival's concerts you can hear songs from the early baroque, and contemporary classical music ending. The convention also agreed to the festival include such genres as folk music or jazz. Such a large cross-section is, of course, advantages and disadvantages.
